A rich and creamy garlic shrimp dish that comes together in just 15 minutes. Perfect for weeknights, dinner parties, or a cozy meal at home.
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: ¼ cup chicken or seafood stock
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Pat shrimp dry and set aside.
Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Stir in Parmesan and let sauce thicken, 2–3 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper. Add stock if needed to thin.
Return shrimp to skillet and simmer for 1 more minute.
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Add red pepper flakes for spice.
Stir in spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
