Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)

  • 8 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • ¼ cup white wine or chicken broth

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes

  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon

  • Fresh basil, chopped

  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter. Add shrimp and cook until pink, then remove and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, sauté garlic, then deglaze with wine. Add tomatoes and cook until softened.

  • Add Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and pasta water. Stir in shrimp and pasta.

  • Garnish with fresh basil and parmesan, then serve.

Notes

For a richer sauce, add a splash of heavy cream. For a non-alcoholic version, substitute chicken broth.
