Succulent shrimp and crab in a creamy Cajun sauce served over pasta for a rich, flavorful, and indulgent meal. A perfect combination of seafood and spice.
1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
1 cup lump crab meat
8 oz pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
1 shallot (minced)
4 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
½ tsp paprika
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
1 tbsp lemon juice
Zest of 1 lemon
Fresh parsley for garnish
½ cup parmesan cheese (optional)
Cook pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet. Add shrimp and cook until pink, then set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté garlic and shallots. Add Cajun spices and deglaze with white wine.
Add cream, broth, lemon juice, and zest. Simmer until sauce thickens.
Add shrimp and crab back to the pan. Toss with pasta.
Garnish with fresh parsley and parmesan.
Adjust spice levels to your preference. For a richer sauce, add a splash of cream cheese or more heavy cream.
