A creamy, cheesy dip loaded with shrimp, crab, spinach, and garlic. Baked until golden and bubbling, this seafood dip is the perfect party appetizer or cozy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, cooked, chopped

  • 1/2 lb lump crab meat

  • 4 oz fresh spinach (or 1/2 cup thawed frozen spinach, drained)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small shallot, minced

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning or Cajun spice (optional)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.

  • Sauté shrimp in a skillet with butter until pink; chop and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, sauté garlic, shallot, and spinach until spinach wilts. Drain excess moisture.

  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.

  • Fold in shrimp, crab, spinach mixture, and half the cheese.

  • Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with remaining cheese.

  • Bake 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden. Broil for 1–2 minutes for a browned top (optional).

  • Serve warm with crackers, crostini, or veggie sticks.

Notes

  • Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter version.

  • Fresh spinach gives the best texture, but frozen works well when drained.

  • Make ahead and bake just before serving for easy entertaining.
